DISC
What is the DISC Model - styles of human behavior
The DISC model assumes that there are 4 main human behavior styles (often also designated by colors), which can be measured and examined. Each of us has access to and uses in our lives most often 2 or 3 DISC styles to varying degrees. As humans, we are flexible and can draw on the resources of our available behavioral style in different situations. At the same time, we often have a preferred (dominant) behavioral and response style in certain situations. Knowing your behavioral style and understanding how it works (recognizing the styles of others) can significantly improve your communication, increase effectiveness, and enhance relationships.
It should be noted that DISC styles are in no way judgmental. Which style is dominant for us determines how we behave, or more precisely: how we want to behave on first impulse, instinctively, or in our most preferred circumstances. Awareness of this allows us to model our own behavior to be more effective.
Understanding your dominant DISC style is the first step toward better relationships and, consequently, a better, more mindful professional and personal life.
You can discover your DISC style by taking an online DISC test and receiving the MaxieDISC behavioral styles report.

DOMINANT STYLE
"Why play if you can't win?"
In the DISC model, the Dominant style represents a strong-willed person, determined to achieve their set goals. Brave, competitive, forward-moving, sometimes like a bulldozer, sometimes without regard for the bridges burned behind them. Burned bridges aren't particularly important to a person with this profile because they don't intend to turn back from the path they've chosen. And when they reach their goal, they will be a winner, and no one will look, or even dare to look, at the path they took to achieve that victory, because, as the proverb says, the winner takes all, and winners are not judged.
Believes in success, is motivated, and doesn't consider any scenario other than achieving the set goal. A person with this profile is often a pioneer, blazing new trails – literally and figuratively. In addition to persistence in pursuing goals, they are also characterized by vision. A person with this profile will be controversial, but doesn't care about it at all because, above all, they are extremely effective. They thrive in hierarchical and competitive structures.
Attributes
Unrelenting, steadfast, independent, direct, specific, decisive, strong, tough, strong-willed, brave, inventive, competitive, demanding, independent, focused on oneself and one's goals, effective, tough, a pioneer, an initiator, a conqueror, willing to take risks, dominant, likes to feel important, takes control. Gives the impression of a person who is in a perpetual hurry and always busy.
Strengths
Strives to achieve goals, does not give up, does not let go, likes competition, communicates clearly and concretely, without ambiguities or assumptions, sets goals, invents solutions, is resourceful. As a boss, he is serious, keeps his team on a rather tight leash, but is also ready to defend them like a lion. He sets clear rules of work and informs what results he expects, and he usually expects more than is currently achieved. He motivates employees by setting them new, ever-higher challenges. Obstacles do not discourage him, but rather stimulate him. Open to changes and reorganizations, he is often their implementer. Multitasking is the norm for him. He engages and motivates by his own example. He wants to be the best and expects the same from every employee. Due to his familiarity with stress, he is effective, for example, in crisis situations – he doesn't lose his head.
In the DISC model, a person with an I style will be perceived by others as the life of the party. Satisfied with life and with herself, she's brimming with energy. She has a multitude of ideas, and sometimes it's hard to keep up with her creativity. She enjoys public speaking and feels comfortable on stage. It's hard not to notice her; energy radiates from her in both her behavior and her attire. She infects others with her enthusiasm and energy. She has a talent for „captivating crowds.” She can inspire, rally others to action, and encourage them to take on new challenges with her. People listen intently to what she says. She can paint visions and present them vividly.
If they believe in something, they can talk about it in a way that infects others with their faith. They are not afraid to make risky decisions, even if they are shocking. They make connections easily, are friendly and cheerful by nature. Often seen as the life of the party – the person who will be the first to suggest, „Let's have a party,” „Let's have a bonfire,” „Let's go on a team-building trip,” etc. Exceptional creativity, inventiveness, and a talent for motivating and engaging people are a unique asset that, when properly utilized, can make a person with this profile an outstanding leader.
INSPIRATIONAL STYLE
"Let's do it together! Will it be fun?"
Attributes
Characteristics typical for this type include: enthusiasm, inventiveness, sociability, liveliness, cheerful disposition, originality – likes to stand out with clothing or behavior, and most often with both, avoidance of norms and limitations, avoidance of following instructions, stubbornness in pursuing actions according to their own rules, talkativeness, avoidance of details, avoidance of discussing difficult topics.
Strengths
Unfading enthusiasm, energy, and vitality, creativity, ability to inspire and engage others, skill in „selling” topics and ideas, encouraging action, communication skills, openness, ease of making contacts, friendliness, emphasizing positive aspects of matters and problems, wants everyone around to feel good and comfortable. Likes to talk, presents an open attitude, persuades easily, willingly, and effectively. Easily generates ideas, leads and participates in brainstorming, praises and rewards.
STABLE STYLE
"One moment. Let's plan this first."
In the DISC model, a person with an S profile is a true calming force. Stable, reliable, and focused on others. Attentive, cultured, polite, and an active listener. Understanding and empathetic. A person with this profile guarantees that work will be planned, and all tasks will be completed on time. No noise, no fireworks, but at the right level, as they should be, with no surprises and no disappointments. A person with this profile can be relied upon to keep their word. They will do everything to not betray the trust of others. On the other hand, they need time and information to make decisions. They do not act on intuition, and they dislike haste and changes in plans.
He is an excellent friend – tolerant, understanding, patient, and above all, a listener. More people-oriented than task-oriented. Good relationships with others are a priority for such a person. Because he „does his job” without fanfare, without spreading it around the company hallways, avoiding office drama such as „I'm so busy” and „I have so many tasks on my plate,” his work might go unnoticed. This is a mistake. A person with such a profile particularly requires their contribution to be noticed and appreciated, and above all, respect and equal treatment for all people.
Attributes
Calm, stoic, composed, cautious, unhurried, cooperative, down-to-earth, realistic, stable, humble, trustworthy, patient, good listener, partner, respects traditions, agreeable and accepting, makes no objections, makes no comments, undemanding, doesn't want to cause trouble, sticks to the established plan
Strengths
Calm, composed, steady in feelings, thoughtful, responsible, planning and acting according to plan, systematic, guarantees steady progress of work and continuity of performing routine tasks, loyal, discreet, showing respect, keeps emotions in check. Is an excellent listener, excels wherever listening, planning, and caring for others are needed. Presents a partnership-based, empathy-driven communication style. Listens attentively, does not judge. Speaks in a calm tone. Does not get worked up, controls emotions, unless someone oversteps their patience. Prefers conversations on topics they know well and in a one-on-one setting.
In the DISC model, a person with a C style is very analytical, demanding, and critical. Sees the world through a logical lens. Looks for cause and effect. Because they don't always have as much information as they would like, or the most up-to-date information, this can delay decision-making or even prevent it altogether. If all the data is missing, a decision could be wrong, so it's better not to make one to avoid unnecessary risk – this is a statement they might often present.
A person with this profile is down-to-earth, devoid of illusions, seeing reality through the lens of facts rather than dreams or wishful thinking. On the other hand, they will strive for things that are often virtually impossible – a perfect decision, a perfect product, or a perfect report developed based on the maximum amount of the most current data and premises.
Diligent Style
"We do it right, or not at all."
Attributes
Precise, quiet, meticulous, introverted, analytical, cautious, formal, disciplined, perfectionist, follows rules, critical, logical, values order (e.g., on a desk), focuses on details, polite, cool, prefers written rather than verbal communication.
I cannot translate empty text. Please provide me with the text you would like translated.
Strengths
They can delve into topics in detail, meticulously read all instructions and specifications, find errors that others miss, argue logically, and thoroughly explore subjects. A person with this profile will read an entire contract from cover to cover, including what's written in fine print, and will identify unfavorable or unclear clauses that many people overlook. They dislike superficial knowledge, overly general information, and the attitude of „I don't know, so I'll give my opinion.” They are a professional in their field and expect professionalism from others. They act cautiously, thoughtfully, consider and analyze a lot of data, can be critical, but always based on data and facts, never opinions. Stern but fair, they like to be perfectly prepared, do not leave things to chance, and by taking responsibility for a topic, they strive to understand it inside and out. They view control as an inherent element of management, something obvious, and feel uncomfortable when there is no such control.
